Questions, answered
Is English Tutor free?
Yes. English Tutor is free to download and you can practice with lessons, quizzes, games and conversations. In-app purchases and subscriptions are not available in the current release.
What level of English do I need?
Any level. During setup you choose your current level, and your plan and lessons adapt to it. You can slow down voices and add pauses while you're learning.
Does the app need the microphone?
The microphone is used only when you choose to speak, for example in Free Talk or pronunciation practice, so the app can recognize what you said and give feedback.
Can I use it offline?
Lessons, flashcards and games are bundled in the app, so you can study without a connection. Conversations with Ellie need an internet connection.
Which devices are supported?
English Tutor is available for Android phones on Google Play.
